You basically stopped an order midstream. The company is too large to expect any kind of personal treatment for a refund, that goes against the systems rules . Personally I would have made note of tracking info & then went thru paypal the day it was sent back, to get my refund from them. It would have been done within 3 days of the return.

I did 100% what I was told to do by Newegg and even received an email from them telling me the item was received and my refund would be processed within 3 days.

I have emailed this address twice this week with no reply to me. I got the same generic message twice on Twitter. I first emailed this address this week on the 20th and received an auto response from "service@newegg.com" saying I'd be contacted within 12 hours.

Well, that was 80+ hours ago.

I will possibly open a Paypal dispute if I don't hear anything back by Monday.

I don't think PayPal is blameless here. It is another "leg" to go through. Have you called PayPal yet?

If the refund request was sent on the 16th, PayPal should have a record of it. Call them and see what they can do for you.

Yes you did. I got your auto response emails from my 2 emails this week and last week I also emailed this address and was actually contacted by somebody named Joanna W. See the auto-response I got in my above post on the 20th.

Is there not a Joanna W there? She responded to me last week when I emailed this address and told me I could reply back to her to follow up which I have also done twice with no responses.

This was like 10 days ago and I have emailed this person 2 times asking for a call back in the last reply back. I have had ZERO response from either reply back to Joanna W.

Do you see what I mean?

I feel like I'm being given a random excuse everytime I contact them. It's pissed me off so bad everytime I contact them I have to start over.

I even told them on the 20th my next steps were telling this all publicly if they didn't resolve this.

That's why Amazon or Microcentre always.

I'm in Canada and typically always use NCIX, but newegg had a better deal on at the moment. Amazon and MicroCentre are not really options for me. Newegg has a warehouse in Ontario but often ship from there NJ warehouse to me too.

Guess from this point forward, NCIX will get all my business as I've literally spent 20K+ there in the past 10-15 yrs and never anything like this has happened.

I build a lot of computers for people in my area, and I use to be into gaming a lot more than I am now. I've spent a lot of money over the years. Money Newegg doesn't care to ever get it seems.

@Newegg

Give me my money back, and then fix whatever you need to do on your end. Seems simple enough to me.

Instead you are going the "piss the customer off" route until I blow it up enough to get my money back.

Even in the U.S sometimes Amazon tends to be more expensive than Newegg.

But reading some stories online like yours, I'd rather pay $10-20 more when I am already spending $100s of dollars & have the peace of mind that if anything goes South, the retailer has got my back.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with Ncix, but if they have given you satisfactory services in the past, I would stick with them.

Take a deep breath man. It's pocket change that's going to sort itself out. So glad I'm past that buying useless junk and getting pissed when I don't get my way stage.

I use to order stuff from Newegg but I won't anymore, not after seeing this shit. We never got your emails? Are you kidding me, this company has really gone down the drain with customer service.

$230 is not pocket change to me. We don't all live in Alberta or Texas. Your post is not helpful.

I'm glad your cool with letting companies take a dump on you though because YOU can afford it.

Stating a i5-4590 is junk? Com'on.

I don't want any co to dump on me but I'm not going into a rage either about money you're going to eventually get.

I would have never got any money back at this point.

Everytime I call they tell me to use the Voucher they issued me.

Again, not helpful. I get what you are trying to say.

I've given them plenty of chances to fix this. They need to be called out on stuff like this if they want to improve. There responses in this thread is almost enough evidence to show how poor there service is.

NewEgg does have problems sometimes. In my experience, they have fewer than many others. No one at NewEgg has a vendetta against you op, the reps are victims of the same business system you are. They will make it right but, it will take time. I know you feel like you've given them ample time and you have but, it will get resolved. It's your choice of course to decide where to spend your money in the future. I really believe that all online retailers suffer from the same problems, you just haven't experienced them yet. In my experience, while there have been some hiccups over the years, NewEgg has always treated me well and often offered unasked for bonuses in fixing problems.

I agree, but Its been 14 days now with multiple contacts and each time I call we start over. That's just not right. Besides, this was all arranged before the item was even returned, so this shouldn't be happening at all.

Hopefully today's talk with a Support Manager will get this fixed. Monday we will see.

It's for somebody who barely knows how to browse the web. I doubt they need GPU, but they all of a sudden want to try gaming. I doubt he could play Candy Crush without asking how to launch it.
