The new Sarah Mclachlan album is good.

StageLeft

No Lifer
So it is said. Some have accused it of being too slow and inducing narcolepsy, but I'd recommend giving it a listen or three and you'll come to understand and appreciate this worthy addition to her library of albums.

And if you don't like her go listen to Offspring and buggar off 😀

I thought this was some hot chic you were referring to then, a "photo album" of some sort.

Shame on you for misleading me when i dont know who Sarah Mclachlan is Skoorby 🙁

Same here, including this one.
Well until two years ago you used to hate people who drank!

It sounds a good bit like her old stuff I think. She hasn't done anything crazy like what U2 did with zooropa.

DUH!! Everything Sarah puts out is good.

She is my FAVORITE female artist...next comes Anita Baker, then Natalie Merchant.

I've heard little from AB, but NM does have some good stuff, though I've really only tried listening to it within the past year or so. I've liked Sarah M for over a decade.

Of course I listen to male-produced music more, but that's probably because I think it represents much more of the market. It's not surprising that red dawn doesn't like it, since he grew up when crap like Hart was playing on the radio (and I don't mean on the oldies stations)!

Hehe 🙂

I've been liking Sarah for the past 8+ years. She just has such a soothing voice. And Anita Baker has a classy soul sound with a bit of skat thrown in as well. Good stuff.

I also grew up when sh!t Bands like Boston and REO Speedwagon were popular but I don't dislike Rock n Roll. I'd take Janis Joplin and Grace Slick anyday over this Cookie Cutter MTV Bitch Music!

Isn't that a sexual fetish dealing with feces?

I have heard of this lady, but I have never had the fortune of listening to her music. Well, I'll take that back . . . her music may turn out being one that I regret having listened to.

My favourite female singer is still Sade. Her music is so soothing and the lyrics are extremely powerful.

That's what I thought.

The truth will elude you until you download some of her stuff and give it a go.

Sade isn't bad, but at little TOO soothing. I find that Sarah M puts perhaps a little more effort into her songs, if even in the ranges she uses and the music. Sade seems to me often to be something you'd listen to when you get home after a long night of drinking and you're about to go to bed and just want something in the background while you get your head in gear and suck back some water.
