Well, it's a nice looking car. I know NFS4 will have something to say in this thread :) I got a nice offer for a GM credit card too. 0% for about a year, then 6.9% fixed, no annual fee and 5% towards a GM vehicle from every purchase. What yall think about dat?

A G6 Review/Preview

Yeah, I think so "highly" of the new G6 that I'd rather have a new '05 Hyundai Sonata instead of the G6

thats because you think so "highly" of any domestic car other than maybe the GTO, and the vette, and maybe the current 'stang and the gt.

MIKE

Sorry The GTO is hardly a domestic car. Built by Holden in Australia from an existing Holden design. I'm Sorry but Australia has Stolen the GTO from the US

i basically ment domestic seller, gm, ford, etc. so i included it.

The looks of the vehicle looks very boring. Blech. And the interior is boring as well. Don't like the steering wheel design as well.

Seems like they just tweaked a Malibu slightly. Hope they fix the funky steering in the Malibu. If you let go of the wheel after a turn and think it will straighten out smoothly like it should, it does a spring loaded snap back.

new mustang?

Meh, forgot about that one. No doubt it'll be a nice car, but Ford needs to quit this retro bullsh!t. The problem with retro is that it sells well for the first year or two when people are all into the hype, but when people get tired of seeing the same tired sh!t from 40 years ago, they want a more modern design.

In other words, Ford should have evolved the 'tang into a more modern interpretation of where the Mustang should go instead of regurgitating the past

I think you're wrong. If Pontiac would build a retro GTO I think they would have a winner on their hands. There's nothing wrong with going back to your roots and putting a modern twist on it. The Ford Thunderbird is a great car. Unfortunately, it only seats two and it cost twice as much as other two seaters in its class/performance range.

Ford went the right direction with the Mustang. They cheaped out a bit on the interior but overall I think they have a winner on their hands.

Endowed with a high-output, 3.9-liter V6 making 240 horsepower through variable valve timing, the G6 GTP arrives in the middle of the 2005 model year. For 2006, the standard motor in the SE model will be a 2.4-liter DOHC Ecotec four-cylinder engine producing 170 horsepower. With curb weights starting around 3,400 pounds, this four banger might have its work cut out for it.

Doesn't look bad at all. I'd avoid the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine like the plague, though.

The 4 banger is actually an excellent engine. That car is just a porker;)

There was some other promotions lately...my parents decided to turn the leased Trailblazer in early (July turn-in, originally) for a *GASP!* 2005 Trailblazer EXT, lol.

I do like the car though, and at the prices we lease them at...no complaints. My silly father even got it in the same color so he wouldn't be looking for the wrong car in a week. :p

That interior looks horrid. The Ford dash in the ad on the same page looks 1000x better.

Curious why you'd avoid the 2.4L

Just anything that proves it is not a rebadged Chevy. Interior shots and so on.
