Yep, and his was a 1979. It was dark blue with t-top and manual transmission. That car was bitchin'.

friend of mine had a firechicken with a buick motor and automatic. thing made a shit ton of noise, the t-tops leaked (apparently a factory feature), drank gas, and was slow as shit. still fun though. well, until it caught fire driving down the highway.

I'd take this over a Mustang II any day.

A friend of mine had one of these when we were in high school and it was pretty fast. Nice looking car too.

Use to love this cars but I stop admiring this model after 73.

Not a fair comparison given the smog and crash regulations that came in and killed the later "muscle" cars.

A 69TA would probably take a 69GP. Whereas it's easy to believe a 69GP would smoke a 76 or 81TA.

Same engine and trans in those two (well unless you got into the ram air motor of god)
The GP had the 400 with TH400 trans, and the longest hood on any production car ever..
god i miss that car

the 76 i have a home has the 6.6L (400) pontiac motor. Its fun to drive, but people that dont know think its way faster than it is. No making that thing fast without changing the heads and pistons to get the Compression ratio up, and the car i have is way to nice for that.
