The new Mercedes AMG-C63 Coupe - Wow!

I quite like the exterior / interior design - the other cars people are comparing it against may have somewhat similar styling cues (it's a coupe!), but do not have the finesse of the Merc.

That 0-60 must be very conservative because 3.9 seems slow for a 550hp AWD car. Also can't believe it's an AWD car now. 😱

its not AWD and its 469 or 503 hp...

the C63 is RWD. the C450 AMG sport or whatever is AWD. plus it probably will weigh nearly 4000 lbs with fuel and a driver . the 7 speed auto is no DCT either so it loses a bit there compared to say a lighter DCT equipped car like an m3 (i'd take the c63 though... real engine sounds!)

I really wish mercedes would make an inbetween RWD car but it just isn't worth it for them given the low uptake. since the C300 probably could use an extra 50hp, but its RWD and lighter (probably 500 lbs less than the 63) and the C450 will have an AWD system that is uselss 200 lbs and extra cost / complexity in a warm area.

realistically the 63 should be AWD to put down the power (the next E63 is awd) and the 450 should be RWD since it doesnt really need it if we were going by performance as the reason, but they know the 450 will sell way more units in snow states....

All that Engineering and they still used a physical dash instead of digital..

personally don't see what the big deal is.

I know al ot of new cars have digital dash (like the new TT-S, the E class will, etc).

but personally i'd rather have an analog one. I mean do you really want to worry about yet another LCD screen just to see what speed you are going? Maybe i'm a luddite, but I like real gauges and knobs and buttons.
