Yes, but that one inch square is basically useless, it shows a quarter of country. Can you make it display a local radar?

I'm sure in future releases you can, not sure if you can with this one or not.

Old news. I wish the radar's animated w/ the swip bar and sound effect though. That'd be so cool.

There is legislation in Congress now that you would have to pay for all weather service.

Thanks to Accuweather and The Weather Channel lobbying.

You would be cut off from NOAA, that is the legislation. They would shut down the NOAA websites as well as wetaher info feeds.

Accuweather and The Weather Channel want you to have to pay them exclusively for weather service.

4-25-2005 New Bill Would Ban Public NOAA Weather Data

Senator Rick Santorum to introduce a bill to ban the National Weather Service from 'competing.'

The NOAA just made data available for free on the internet in XML format. Essentially, that means no more free data, and the possible elimination of the NOAA web presence all together.

If you click on the green circle, it takes you to accuweather.com's web page. From there, you get a slightly larger and zoomable view.
