Drive the V8 then. The V6 is for someone who likes the looks of the vehicle but doesn't want to pay for the V8 in both up-front cost, gas, etc...

I'm sure the V6 is probably better than the V6 I have in my 98 Camaro :p

yeah, the V6 is pretty peppy. you're talking about significantly more power than most 'muscle' car v8's from the 80's and early to mid 90's.

but i totally agree with 'looks good outside but the interior is awful.' and the price is too high.

The Camaro people really want is almost $50K.

Really? The MSRP of the SS is only 33k....That's pretty affordable for a very nice V8 engine....

The 2SS is listed at $33,500, the 1SS is $32,000. Even optioning it out it would be hard to push the price up $20k.

i remember it being over $40k for a loaded one. i think they kept it away from $50k .. that's vette territory. although, i can see both the upper end camaro (z/28, maybe) and the vette being pushed up in price.

You could push it over $40k if you went crazy with the options. They offer quite a few ways to customize the appearance like contrasting paint stripes and very pricey rims.

You people are forgetting that the dealerships are likely upcharging for these cars. A very good friend of mine went to buy one for his wife. The car they wanted was almost $50K.

Do they also pay 25k for a entry Cobalt optioned-out to hell? Lets have some common sense here...the SS is 32k, and anything over that is options YOU choose or dealer greed. Nothing is crammed down your throat...

Your argument is ridiculous.

Edit: Maybe if you think really hard you might realize why the dealerships are charging above MSRP in some cases...I will give you a hint, it starts with a "D" and ends with a "D" and is in the thread title...;)
