I find it kind of disturbing that our image of what a real man is supposed to be like is being reshaped into something not that manly, in most of the media. If you keep your eyes open you'll see it everywhere.
Yeah, it's terrible that our definition of masculinity is becoming more open and accepting. We should force all men to drink beer and play sports and never cry and only express anger.
What's terrible is that our definitition of masculinity now involves styling gel and shopping at the mall. If our ancenstors had been more open and accepting then your organic matter would be a pile of bear scat lying on the ground somewhere, which I might add may very well not be far from the truth now.
Men are the way they are because that's the way thousands of years of natural selection made them. You can't suppress that in a couple generations and not pay the price. These are soft and cushy times, but that has been a rarity in the world. When the world is full of men turned pansy and disaster stikes, what do you think is going to happen? Where will you find your hair gel when there are no stores? I shudder to think.
Go shop at the mall or something. Drink a double latte for me while you're out.
Do you even know what the fvck you are talking about? Masculine stereotypes have changed throughout history. Go look at some
pictures of the way men dressed back when our country was founded. Do you think a man could wear those types of clothes today and not be mocked? Do you think those men were "pansies"? Wow, look at those tights, how gay.
Once upon a time, a "man's man" worked with his hands in the field or in a factory. Is the same standard true today? If I work behind a desk, am I less of a man?
Fashion changes. The male role in society changes. Deal with it. Hair gel is not an indication of bravery or courage.
