The new Audi A8...**OFFICIAL** Pics

Beating E65 in style is not a hard task! Looks good to me! When can I buy an S8?

Other then the Ferrari F60, I've also seen the new MB E-Class while over here in Europe. I have yet to see ONE new BMW 7-series.

EDIT - Audi did a MUCH better job of integrating their iDrive system.

they redesigned it again? I'm glad, though. the current ones look horrible.

HORRIBLE??????????? OMG are you on CRACK??????????? Please tell me that you have seen Ronin!!!!!!!!!1

And the A8 was last made over in '94 or '95 I believe....

hmmm looks good but a bit boring. When it is new, why does it look (almost) like the old?

The new 7 series BMW is selling really bad I think thats why u dont see them (often). I bet that will be the shortest lived BMW has ever produced but what to expect with such a BMW unlike ugly POS design. And a trunk that looks like a cheap plastic addon on a $50000+ car - ridiculous. Sry for ranting about a BMW in an Audi thread

Looks too much like a BMW but anyway, I would take it 😀

How do you figure?? I don't think that NE1 could mistake any Audi for a BMW.
From the side, it really looks similar to a BMW but the lights are totally different. Back and Front are typical Audi-ish.

The new 7 series really suck ass in definition of looks.

Yes, i believe there are some subtle BMW design cues in the new A8, but Audi didn't screw up like BMW did! I think it looks great!

There isn't really an "I-drive" system....that knob thingy is an multimedia controller (MMI)....similar, but different...

Yeah, those rims are a little much, but oh well 🙂

Now, if only the new M5 wasn't rumored to have a v-10, then Audi would have their RS6 be on top, and truly be able to take over the world!

You should check out the E65 forum over at www.roadfly.com. A quick glance will reveal the many problems owners are having, most of them arising from the iDrive system. New buyers are simply beta testers for this car and iDrive was simply not ready for production. My guess is we'll see many revisions to this car in its second year.

Good for Audi. Maybe they're not the poor second German cousin.
Just kiddin.😉
I'm still pissed off with the boys a Daimler for dropping the Dakota.
WTF do Europeans know about pickup trucks? The Dakota had a class to itself (Yep, I've got one).

Looks great... but aren't the A4, A6, and A8 starting to look a bit too homogeneous? I mean, having corporate styling cues is one thing, but each car looks like a bigger, slightly tweaked version of the last. Granted, all look great, but variety is the spice of life, no? 🙂 Although a case can be made for "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I've got dueling colloquialisms here.

Anyhoo, the worst thing about the A8 is the depreciation it suffers... it loses value REALLY quickly!

Perhaps Audi is taking styling tips from BMW! 😉 For a while I had a difficult time telling a 3 from a 5 series.

Bozo,
I think I read it in one of NFS4's posts here a while back.
Haven't been to the website to confirm it but NFS4 is very rarely wrong.
I think the jist was the boys at Daimler, read Mercedes, wanted to replace the Dakota with something of their own design.
It's a cryin damn shame.

The current one had that reserved look of style, power, and class. I like it... but I like the redesign even more!!! Interior is to die for. I love it.
😀

Mmmmmmmm......that looks Nice😀
Ehh, yea, the rims definetly need to go....what were they thinking?
How much anyway.....just want to see how far it is out of my price range😀😀

EDIT: Also, I dont really like the fake wood interior....too light for me. But that can probably be replaced/changed.
