OK OK I am still stuck on dial up. Still waiting and waiting for an affordable broadband.

Worse yet, I net work my XP pro computer with my wife's XP home computer.

And being security aware, I update our computers and do windows updates as soon as they come put.

But this month, Microsoft really screwed my pooch when they added the 248 MB update to netframe work 3.5, at this writing, I am still downloading it on my computer.

The question is, can I somehow transfer it to my wife's computer after I get into my computer. Or will I have to do the whole thing again for my wife's computer, if necessary I can find a public library that has broadband and put it on a cd-r or pen drive.

And yes, both of our windows are legitimately registered copies of Window XP.

Goto the windows update website and have it scan for updates. If the update is new and you havent downloaded it before it will be listed in the available update. One of the links you see for the update should take you to a different webpage where you can download the update itself to be used for direct installation. If you want to you can download old update at the update by choosing to see installed updates. This is from my memory so might have some info missing. Now to install the update on a different computer e..g. you wifes network computer copy the file to it through your network or you could burn it to a cd. I would put the update in a descriptive folder so you know what the update is.
