The NES I just bought doesn't work

i use emulator if i bother with old games now(too many new games to bother anyways).

keep my old nes/snes in storage, no point further wearing em out. those cartridges were finicky.

Find an NES fan page.

Another good place to go would be atari age. They have many forums and one of them should pertain to the NES. I've found the people there know game consoles better than anandtech people know PCs. Some of the people there having sickening levels of knowledge. If they don't have an appropriate forum, just put a post up asking them to point out a good NES site.
