The muslims have invaded my town!

No, he's saying that a huge number of people suddenly came to his town that he didn't know were coming.

Ok, well if that's the case then I apologize, but it just sounds rather negative.

Yep.

SWorks, if the population of your city increased by 13%, do you think you'd notice?

"The muslims"? Like those 5,000 are all of the muslims in the U.S. and they are invading your town?

Does your town never have concerts, sporting events, civic celebrations, etc. that bring in people from neighboring areas?

Are these muslims going to be disrupting your daily life?

dang that sucks, if your town is like mine, too many people there already to wait in line with. fewer people in town = better. But i guess the lines will be shorter at corkys and any other pork based BBQ joint.

well, there may be traffic headaches, as indicated in the article, but a 13% increase in population is nothing but good for local businesses. hotels must be making a killing...

Can you say,"Hi, welcome to my tiny town. My name yada yada yada"?

Oh I forgot, this is ATOT, hospitality is a foreign word.

Some people need to lighten up. If you replaced muslims with almost any other word we wouldn't be getting all this hostility. I think 'invade' is an approiate adjetive for a couple thousnad people coming to your small town, just like the yuppies 'invade' Death Valley every summer for Burning Man.

nobody cares about yuppies because that's a lifestyle choice... but you replace "muslims" with any other term that implies some sort of ethnicity and it would be about the same.
