I grew up in the Joe Montana, John Elway, Jerry Rice NFL age. Funny thing is I can't think of a specific play that I remember from that entire time.

But I do remember Nolan Ryan pitching in baseball and him and Ventura's little scuffle. That's the most memorable sports plan I can think of off the top of my head.

Joe Theismann having his leg broken...I was 13 and played Eighth grade football at the time and it was quite traumatic for me to watch.

OH man! I didn't see that one live, only on replays years later.

I still cringe just thinking about it.

Tough for me to give just one really... can I go by sport?

Basketball - Laettner shot
Baseball - Gibson homer
Football - Music City Miracle (homer pick)

Growing up in Cleveland, I remember the fumble, the drive, Indians blowing game 7 and Jordan's buzzer beater against the Cavs.

homerism for me, but the Gibson blast is an excellent choice.

I think the LA Times had a great look back at it a month ago.

Cal v Stanford - The Band play
Or simply, The Play?

Although it's not just a single play, the last 25 minutes (real time) of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl between Boise State and Oklahoma are perhaps the most exhilarating stretch of college football I've ever watched.

I was there the night pete rose tied the record in chicago. Best one I was at

Next thing that popped in my head was Senna dying. My entire house was watching and we all were silent.

Norwood's field goal attempt at the end of the Jan 91 superbowl with seconds left.
While the play itself wasnt spectacular, everything was riding on it (Norwood makes it, Bills win; Norwood chokes, Giants win).
