oh man are you kidding me? marijuana is so dangerous! my friend took it once and went bat shit crazy. it was not good.

I believe I heard while watching a Meth special on TV that 85% of those that become addicted to Meth never kick the habit. That sounds pretty bleak to me.

More people die while high on LIFE than any other drug

I mean seriously, how often does someone not die while alive

what?

I'm gonna go with meth. I've actually tried the stuff and didn't really care much for it, but it's hooked a whole lot of other people and screwed them pretty bad.

Marijuana is NOT bad at all. Damn people get your shit straight. Marijuana is GOOD. Good Marijuana. Good....

A drug by definition is a chemical substance that alters one's mental state

Religion, porn, WOW, and ATOT do not qualify since they are not chemicals

It could be said it elicits a chemical response: adrenaline. Maybe Religion, porn, WOW, and ATOT are gateway drugs? 😛

well, yeah. Drugs work by inducing the release of natural hormones. mostly endorphins. Once you get into the realm of drug response, and it's actual functional mechanism, you open up a vast, uh...closet of other "substances" Video games have been shown in studies to effect the same type of chemical responses in the human brain as substance-based drugs.

I think religion taps into a more natural way to induce similar responses.

ICE was the worst, was it not? The problem was that the market literally died out too fast for it to ever become successful. 😉

I remember my mom had this mother of a family friend stay at the house one night. I woke up the next day to find a bottle of meth in my fridge from this family friend, 7am and I kicked her ass out the door, we had like 8 little kids over. Fucking meth heads.

how many people who have really died because of religion? most of the "religious" wars seems like wars over land, resources, nationalism, etc, with religion just used as a smokescreen.

damn you! DO NOT bring reality and history into a veiled anti-religion thread! :|

It was in a bottle, she must have been the cheap kind.

No, I gave it to her after I threw her in a cab, figured it would keep her from robbing someone. Just blew my mind she would store meth in someones house she had just met when her and other peoples kids are there.

Tough question. I'm going to include cultural influence and other real world factors and say Alcohol, even though it has far less potential for danger than other drugs. The danger, however, is much more realized. Binge drinking is actually something people strive for in certain areas (e.g. Wisconsin) and the fact that so many people around the world use alcohol to excess regularly and see nothing wrong with it makes it the winner in my book. Maybe this was already discussed in the 4 pages of thread I decided not to read...

Cigarettes. Its the most addictive and harmful not only to the smoker but to others. Its also the hardest to kick. Heroin is easier to kick that cigs. I am a smoker for over 25 years and believe me, its a hard habit to kick.

Try body patches, worked twice for me. I haven't smoked for 13 years now.
