Regardless of what you think of thread or L, I bet you don't let that Hollywood portable sit on your lap for very long. Hope they sell asbestos blankets to drape over your lap.

Theres a custom designed internal heatpipe cooling system, they have a pic of it in the site.

I am amazed at the hollywood laptop.

http://www.go-l.com Wow, this company are offering some pretty amazing machines (especially the displays!!) Although they seem to have stolen Apple's style, there is no denying that they totally crush them (on the "different" theme) and any other manufacturer on the system they build. Also, their CacheFlow technology is one of the most ingenious use of Intel's HT capabilities!

Sweet - I've never been able to configure a system for over $18,000 for personal use ;-)

$26,753.99 looks like the highest.
16GB RAM, 3 DVD writers, over 2TB storage space...

I can see the RAM and the Hard drives having a theoretical use. But 3 DVD writers is just insane ^^

I didn't understand the 16GB of ram... the board only holds 4GB.... what's beyond that? Is the rest just like, glued to the side of the case?

:Q What? You don't need to burn 3 DVDs simultaneously? I thought everyone needed this... Especially when you have 2 TB of storage space. I mean, you have to back that up roght? Or prevent yourself from actually filling up 2TB worth of porn. </end sarcasm>

Not to mention, they are butt-ugly IMO.

PU RAM.

Reminds me of advertising that touts a 600 Watt receiver when they are just taking the sum of all the channels (150WPC) instead of saying 150 watts per channel.

Of course, a solid state drive has certain uses. Ram on board for applications is always faster, however.

The site is a joke. The girl probably got done by one of her horses and needs therapy.

Cheers!
