Weird. The ones I've touched or fondled never felt like sand, they felt more like Jell-O, but not one of the good flavours of Jell-O, like lime or strawberry, but one of the gross flavours, like poop.

Ahh, feel much better - just took a dump.
Eating lunch now. Sandwich, iced coffee.
Heading to work soon, been busy at home today.
Got a project due next week, may start it today, or not.
Need to update Twitter and myspace.

The Cellular Telephone.
Never have I hated the phone so much.
If the cell phone didn't exist, I'd still have my firebird (cellphone talking soccer mom ended that dream). My wife wouldn't have plowed into the back end of a minivan (cell phone talking driver didn't realize she didn't have the right of way (pedestrian) and locked up the wheels in the wet. Pedestrian survived - bumper did not. My boss couldn't call me at 4:45pm on good friday right after I just smoked a fat j with my wife - and I wouldn't have stammered out what I think was the answer to his question.

Probably not the MOST annoying thing, but one that is still quite annoying and most people wouldn't think of it: the fax machine.
It's a dinosaur these days, when scanning and emailing is so much simpler. Not to mention all the fax spam you get (which results in physical clutter and waste rather than simply having to hit the delete key). And it's so unreliable. I've never been able to tell whether my fax went through.
Far as I can tell, they only still exist to appease luddites who are too afraid to learn how to scan things.
