I've had one on my monitor for a while too. I never have been able to get it to work with both eyes, but it's pretty sweet with one.

I've had one of those on my desk at work for months, and it truly amazes people... and really does work...

When you walk by my pod and look at it, it will follow you all the way... 🙂

can't find the video

I used to go to a comic store years ago that had what they called a "paranoia mask" that performed this effect very well. It sat on a shelf in the corner and looked at you wherever you were in the store.

remember that in actuality, the face is concave.
mountain folds are edges pointing to you; valley folds are edges pointing away

We have one here at work for over a year now. Works best with one eye closed. Its nodding in agreement right now.

Well, my co-worker tried her best but her attempt wasn't too successful...not because of her l337 scissor or direction-following skillz...but because our HP laserjets only print B&W and the print copy is reduced from the PDF copy.

Here's her attempt.
b&w vs. color does not matter in being able to "see" the illusion better. in fact, the dragon in the image above exhibits the illusion as well (good job to your co-worker  )

yeah because this little paper dragon is all over TV, magazines, and in stores everywhere? very, very bad comparison.

In all honesty, I don't think I've never seen an add in a magazine, on TV, or in a store for an iPod nano.

Does it work with black and white ink? I don't have color ink. 🙁

Yup. I have a laser printer so I had to print it in black and white.

This thing is awsome! Thanks OP!

lol

The tip about closing one eye works.

I did this a while ago and it didn't work... cause I'm an idiot and folded it convex (or concave... whichever is the wrong way).

I just tried it again and it's very neat. I have it up on a shelf and it is totally following me around the room.
