You know, you may be right. I wasn't even ALIVE when any of that happened!

wow, another person who can't read and is only following the mob mentality of everyone else to make himself look cool.

so can we stop the fvcking bashing, threats, and whatnot?

Let me get this straight...you believe the US landed on the moon yet you entertain the possibility that the US didn't land on the moon.

yeah, you got it straight.

And you can say that with a straight face....does anyone else see a problem with this?

read the previous thread, asshole. i'm not the only one.

Gads. I can't believe people this stupid or gullible are teaching our children.

so you know 100% that we landed on the moon? you were there?
or do you just take the government's word on everything?

So, you're one of those nutjobs?

no, i just have an open mind

true.
to accept something you do not experience might be on the faithy side at that scale..
and to accept everything you are taught is lame.
Exactly, I wasn't around during the moon landing, my MOM wasn't around during the moon landing, how do I know what really happened

All I know about it is pictures in books, short clips in films, and the imfamous Armstrong saying of course, but that's it.

After 9/11, and knowing much now about JFK, I refuse to totally believe anything beyond a shadow of a doubt that is told to me by our government. I will accept us landing on the moon more then I will deny it, but I wasn't even alive when it happened. And something as astronomical as going to another planet is not easily facilitated.

I really do have an open mind, and I really don't care if you call it a hole in the head.

Hell yeah! Fight the man! The Moon Landing, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Holocaust, Socrates, Plato...all are fake because you weren't around.

interesting, this is exactly how i feel and believe, but yet everyone else, including you, deemed it appropriate to bash me, insult me, and threaten me.

The problem with that is there is a reason to cover up 9/11 and the JFK incident.

There is no reasoning here. Neil Armstrong said it himself, this is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

They weren't trying just to make it about America or anything jingoistic like that. Just look at how many foreign astronauts have went up on the space shuttles?

Curious, you were just whining about hoping a mod saw "threats," and you're fine with blatant namecalling.

It's a perfectly valid point. Not being alive at a certain point in history in no way provides any proof that events during that point in history did not occur.

They sound like friends of mine during college following a night of drunken debauchery: "Hell man, I don't remember so it must not have happened."

pontifex, even if you saw it with your own eyes or even landed on the moon yourself. Would you still entertain the idea that perhaps you didn't land on the moon afterall? How can you be so SURE?

who cares if we went to the moon or not? how does it affect anyone in this discussion one way or another?

say we didn't and it was a hoax, what does that prove:

-- The government sometimes is full of it

we know that to be the truth anyway so it holds no bearings anyway.

say we did land on the moon, what does it prove:

-- The government can portray events as they actually occurred! yippee!

either way who cares. we landed on the moon but either way the impact it has on our existence is minimal. And there is no great revelation if it was a hoax.

Anyway, what? did God just put that rock there to look at, that rock is part of Man's domain, it's in the Bible. You people should start worrying about rapture, that's the real moon landing. **

**note
this last paragraph is for sarcasm purposes only. please disregard any thought of regarding it is intellectually stimulating or worthy of further discussion.

This is the funniest thread in a LONG time. An open mind is generally good, but it is NOT an excuse to not have to think for yourself and draw legitimate, reasonable conclusions. Simply saying "oh, it might not have happened...." and then backing that up by saying you're open minded is nothing but a feeble copout.

Perhaps that's because you are acting like it, actually more like 3rd-4th grade.

It take a real brain child to call people "losers", "morons" and "asshole". Nice cop out when you were presented with a logical, reasonable argument.

i wonder if all who bashed you are religious.
it would seem that those who subscribe to a form of church eat everything up with no questions asked.

that gets so annoying, it's best to avoid taking the replies as anything more than entertainment.

Is the moon the 3rd or 4th planet? I forget.

look, i don't really care.
all i said in the beginning was that its possible it never happened. what we see here is proof of mob mentality. i never said i believed that personally but thats what everyone jumped on and all of a sudden it became thats what i believed. every one jumping in to make their stupid little comments or jumping in to bash someone. apparently it makes people feel good to put other people down.

its obvious that in internet forums, people believe what they want or believe what the previous poster said. no one actually takes the time to read what anyone says.

so i'm glad i could make some of your e-penises grow a little larger today.

thanks

oh, so all the people calling me stupid, a moron, brainless, etc was logical reasonable arguments? did you even read the thread? i was being subjected to that crap over something they believed to be true, which isn't. the fact that i never once said that "i totally believe we never landed on the moon" seems to have been overlooked.

all of a sudden i'm the guy who doesn't believe we landed on the moon.

if you want to talk about reasonable, you aren't going to find it in this thread.
