Build Complete The Mini-ITX PC I Built For My Friend

Back early spring 2018, I built a mini-ITX system for a friend to use as his HTPC.

I decided to do it with both new and good used parts. I must admit that I was nervous about doing a good job of it.

Here is a list of parts and prices:

Motherboard - Gigabyte Z270N-WIFI - used paid $120 CDN
CPU - Pentium G4600 - new EBAY paid $92 CDN including shipping
Ram - Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400 (CT8G4DFD824A) - new paid $108+tax CDN
SSD - Kingston UV400 120GB - new paid $99+tax CDN
HDD - 1TB WD Blue - used my old drive I no longer needed free 🙂
PSU - Antec EarthWatts 380W - used my spare PSU free
Case - Thermaltake Core V1 Extreme - new sale price from Newegg Canada paid $54.99+tax CDN including shipping - I should have bought 2

Anyway, I assembled everything and tested it thoroughly. It worked great and ran cool and quiet. It is quite fast due to the SSD. The onboard Intel HD Graphics 630 plays videos beautifully and can do 4K 30 according to Intel.
