I fixed a Zip drive today and found some pics of the fleet from Shreveport. In case you are interested here are two (large) pics that cover 16 of the boxes in my fleet. See my sig for a listing of the whole bunch.

Pic1 - Have daisy chained Belkin KVMs for these boxes

Pic2 - Note the Milk Crate systems; all systems in this pic are on 10Base-2

To make everyone happy I inlcuded one without the cover! 🙂

WOW! 😎

I'm having difficulty sleeping with 2 computers on 8 feet away from the bed. You have 7 next to your bed. You must have a very good AC in your room.🙂

Damn!

nice looking computers there...

I like that brown table... it has a late french look to it... The ends are higher than the middle LOL🙂

The weight of all that crunching power...

Well, there was a nice constant drone coming from all the fans, but it masked all outside noises! 🙂 Once I got use to it, it was actually a help in sleeping. The AC wasn't great in the bedroom so I had a fan in the doorway blowing cool air from the hall.

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. 😀

21st Century Georgian! 🙂

What can I say😀 wow 😛

Its a wonder you could sleep with that much noise !!
I like my computers nice and quiet 🙂

But it is a (couple of) pictures i like to loook at 😀

Hey with your S500s do your expansion cards actually screw in? I think my case is bent or something because only the lowest cards (closest to the bottom of the case) actually screw in.

I've had no problem with expansion cards. I really like the Inwin S500! I found a guy in Dallas that would cut the case and add a 120MM fan set to 7volts. This made it much quiter and it still pumped out 70 CFM.

wow, if i had that many computers in the house, i'd get kicked out. 😉

Well, these weren't in my house. They were in my corporate apartment that included the electricity. And, they never complained! 🙂 I was assigned to the GM plant in Shreveport, LA for 1.5 years. The contract only paid for me to go home every other weekend. So, I would drive my rental car to Dallas on the weekends I was "held captive in Shreveport" and hit the 1st or 3rd Saturday computer shows. I put together at least one system per month. Well, it adds up when you are away for as long as I was. 🙂 Once I got home I had a problem with what to do with all the systems. I didn't have enough places to put them all since I already had at least 6 systems here. So, I shutdown some of the lesser systems (cel 433, etc.) and stacked a bunch on the floor in the garage. Then David McOwen offered to host some of the systems at his place and he took the stuff that was sitting idle. He has 5 systems crunchin for me; about 5 GHz worth of hardware.

I'll take some pics of the Computer room taking shape here that houses a sub fleet of the JW Middleton fleet. The room is 10x10 over the kitchen, wired an 18 Amp UPS circuit.

Milk crates rule! I was going to do that but never got around to it 😱 so they sat on their mobo boxes until last night 😀
Nice fleet! 😀

LOL! I like the milkcrate idea too! 😀 My bare mobos are sitting on their boxes as well.
