So I found out that my boss never sent out the checks. Basically, I haven't gotten paid since July 15th. :|

Class payments are due today by 5pm..:|


He gave me $500 cash yesterday, but that still does not make up for owing me about $4xxx and the fact that I need it all now.

I paid off some of my classes yesterday but still owe money, and with my college, if you don't pay the full balance, they drop you from EVERYTHING🙁

Basically, I need $100 + book money by today


and oh joy....what do I learn when I walk into work today..

Find his boss or HR and explain the situation.

Failing to pay you is unacceptable.

DUDE, DUDE, DUDE!

Listen to papa Phoenix.I've seen several examples of the terrible beshyting that comes to you from your job. It's time to go somewhere else. You work to earn MONEY, not for your health or for the companies well being. You seem to know your stuff, so get the hell out of there while you can. If they can't make payroll, they are in trouble anyway.

That sucks David!... and you worked a lot of overtime too... I would have already quit, almost a month without getting paid, that royally sucks. Can't you talk to the people at the registar office to see if they can hook you up with a payment plan ( like you pay half today and the rest next month ) that's what I am doing at GMU.

Talk to a lawyer. What he's doing is illegal and he can get fined a crapload for breaking the law. On top of that, he gets fined more and more the longer it takes him to get the sh|t done.

Learn your state labor laws. Love them.
 
Well, I finally convinved him to give it all to me today in cash but I am not letting him off the hook that easy. I am just taking a little and making him give me the rest post-tax.

Anyway, you should never get burned like this at a job. One of my employers messed up my check two weeks in a row, then promised to fix it "for real!" on the third week. Well, when they fixed it, they ended up subracting what they owed me instead od adding it to my check. I went to my boss and told him I would be going home until I was paid. He told me to go have a seat and surf the internet or do whatever for an hour. 30 minutes later, he walked up to me, cash in hand. Problem solved, I went back to work.
