The Mediterranean - from above and ground level

Went to Santorini, Crete and Cyprus this summer. Caught Covid the last week so missed out on a few excursions where there would have been some great stuff to shoot. I had gotten a DJI Mini2 a couple weeks before so had little time to practice. I got a couple good videos but mostly focused on stills since my flying skills needed to improve. The villa was where we stayed, eleven of us all family.

Just compared my sisters Santorini pics to yours to see if there was any overlap.
She was there over the Spring\summer as well. She goes to Santorini every year

Great pictures. Just please don't fly the drone tooo much. Nothing spoils a hike or relaxation on a beach like the constant high pitched wine of drone fleets

You can't hear the drone after it goes high enough. I don't hover over people, as you can see from the photos these are higher up shots. That's where I find the best shots are. Only time you can really hear it is during takeoff and landing.

I did shoot a few videos where I came in lower over the beach where you could hear it, but since I wasn't buzzing the beach crowd, even at that the level I did it at the buzzing is much quieter and it was just for like 10 seconds over the whole beach, a few times in a day. When I bring it into land it's funny how long it takes until I can hear it buzzing again.

Wonderful stuff. I hope to go to what used to be Thera some day.
