it's unclear from the info out there.

btw... the 'upgrade' he was talking about, appears to be an upgraded agent smith... IE... he can replicate himself (as seen in the trailers)

 
What I want to know is why didn't the agents simply use explosives? Neo can dodge bullets, but an RPG at his feet would be tough to dodge. Also, since the guns Neo and Trinity brought into the Matrix were simply computer programs, why did they limit themselves to defined clip size? If the laws of reality do not apply, simply code your weapons to never run out of ammo. And yes, I have way too much time on my hands.
