The Matrix Revolutions...

The 2nd and 3rd movies detract from my enjoyment of the first. There's no way I'm going to buy them.

I heard an add on the radio for the Revolutions dvd the other day. They called it, "The greatest movie trilogy of all time." AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

I may pick it up, just so I can be completely pissed when the ultimate-platinum-superbit-extreme collectors limited edition boxed set comes out.

I'm gonna go buy it later today...to complete the trilogy set and maybe I'll actually like it the second time around.

I love how all the advertising pushes this point. "Yes, we know the third movie was weak, but you really don't want your other two Matrix DVDs to feel lonely, do you?"

i might go get it but prob wait for a box set because i only own the first one currently, and I LOVED THE MOVIE, ALL OF THEM THEY DID NOT SUCK

as much as i hated the sequels, the completist in me has to complete the trilogy. but bunk paying $17-$18 for that, ill wait until its on the previously viewed shelves at blockbuster or hollywood video and buy it then for like $10.

I'm more tempted to get the Karate Kid trilogy, especially when I can get it for the same price as Revolutions. So tempting.

The first movie was mind bending. The second movie was mostly confusing. The third movie was awsome action, but it lost the mind tripping quality that started all of this.

To summarise:
1st: 😎 + :Q + 😀
2nd: 😕
3rd: 🙂

BTW, does anyone have hard facts concerning the possible release of a boxed set?

It's not the advertising that's making us do that, it's the "completist" mindset (as anxi80 said) of us DVD collectors that makes us do this (unless you actually liked the movie). Pretty much the same reason why a lot of Evil Dead fans have all bajillion rerelease copies of the DVDs, or Scarface, or the SuperBit and regular collections, etc.

Works for me!

I find it interesting that so many people regard this as the weakest of the three. I thought it sucked, but not anywhere near as much as Matrix Reloaded, which was as bad a film as I've seen in years. I guess it's academic, because they both disgrace the good name of the first one, which is a very strong, if rather supercilious, action movie.

I think you misunderstood the third one...I needed all those beers after watching the movie to drink away my dissapointment in the final installment...🙁

I thought Reloaded was great, what'd you find so disgusting about it? Besides that lameass rave scene, I thought it had a nice balance of all the elements.
