They do answer questions, and the community tends to know quite a bit about the movies, so you should check it out. The reason I'm playing is strictly for the story, but it just happens to be less boring and tedious than other MMO's. I'm probably half the level most people are already, but I don't care. I'm doing my own thing. There is no level requirement to be a part of the story, and many people have met some of the unique characters already. Supposedly they are acting them out pretty well.

I am interested in this as I am a big fan of the Matrix. The only thing that kind of put me off was the combat. I am not sure how enjoyable the lock-on feature would be. I like to take a more active role in combat...even though it being static opens up the possibility of specific and extravagant animations...I still think I would get bored with it quickly.
I understand that ranged is not lock-on however, so that may be satisfying enough to balance it out.

*edit* Just answered my own questions.

I like the combat system more than others. It's not just enter combat and let it do it's thing like you may think, it's very fast paced and you do have to be active. You have special moves that you can do, and different tactics to use. With one ability I have, it tells me what they are vulnerable to, and then I use that tactical move and it'll have a higher chance of hitting. So you can't just walk away.

Game did seem like fun for the bit that I played for so far.

Waiting till the 29th once more ram gets here for more playing.

512mb of ram isn't playable. :(

Yeah well, someone decided that have zero loading screens needs to be the standard, but in order to make it work properly you need more RAM. So yeah, a gig of RAM is pretty much standard now.

What is Enter the Matrix?
A Matrix millieu game that came out just before Matrix Reloaded. It ties The Matrix to Final Flight of the Osiris to Matrix Reloaded. The game was fun but buggy, and it was abandoned with only one mostly ineffectual patch release.

I actually bought this game on day 1, watched the Final Flight of the Osiris, played the game and then went to see the movie on the day it hit the theater. Pretty cool (and geeky). :) This is the way the Wachowski Bros. intened the experience to go.

This game needs a heavy system to play it.

At least a gig of ram, good video card, 2500 or faster cpu and it's not dial up friendly.

Post your specs.

Was that when I loaded patcher skills and found out you can heal people when they were dueling? :D

Another guy and I were able to keep the guys alive for a good 5 minutes. :p

That and we were healing a npc someone was fighting and then the npc proceeded to kill a bunch of lowbies for some reason even though we were both lvl 11ish and the npc was lvl 20. :D

Still kinda buggy but hey, it's been out for less then 2 weeks.

That's nothing. If you have mission NPC's following you, they will heal other mission NPC's that another person has, even bad ones :p

Some good events been happening the past week, tons of fake agents to kill, speeches from the leaders of each faction, morpheus and niobe and such, many system messages about where we were all going to die, and perhaps a way to bring back neo on a certain side if your side collects the most thoughts of neo.

After playing WoW with zero events when the game was live and I had leveled to 60 this is something nice to see. :D

I keep hearing those that play the beta complain that its trash, so I for one won't waste money on it. Besides, theres too many other good games out at the moment, not to mention WoW.

Beta is ment to be buggy. :D

I guess you never played wow beta huh? :p

Well I am just surprised how fast they did these events when WoW never had 1 during live.

Even though WoW was great it really needed something like this...mass invasions of nude gnome npc's coming to take over the world or something maybe. :D

just put in 768MB ram, seems to be a lot better now. still on the 1900+ system with a 4200 video card. runs a lot smoother after the extra ram. still i am selling the game with a level 18 character.
