"The Matrix" lasted almost 2 years?

XMan

In movie-time, anyway. The first scene, where Trinity's call is traced, occurs on 2-19-98. The final scene, where Neo's call is traced, occurs on 9-18-99.

Kind of weird, eh?

Well, if you think about it...

Neo had to be rehabilitated (as he had almost zero muscle mass from living in the goo) for quite a while, and then after he kicked Agent Smith's ass he might have taken it easy for a bit before going back in.

But nonetheless, that is a bit surprising. Nice catch. 😉

<< interesting, but pointless >>

Agreed. Technically it'd be 1 year 7 months (almost, one day before that). There's still 7 months in between that and 2 years 🙂

Cool, there's 14 months in a year now!

psssst, it'd be 5 months from 2 years, not another 7.

if you want to talk about nitpicks...

i don't think there's anything better than chasing amy's coffee shop scene... where silent bob tells the story about 'chasing amy'.

if you look at ben affleck's leg as he's smoking...
and the camera is going back and forth from ben to kevin smith...
you'll see that on ben's pants cigarette ashes will appear and disappear varying at every camera move.

if you have the dvd ... take a closer look.
it's hilarious.

Did that really happen? Love it when they have those background flubs in movies.

For their time the Romans were VERY technologically advanced... 😉

I do like spotting those flubs in movies, I'll point them out to whoever I am watching the movie with. Funny sometimes but I don't obsess about them...

Or when Arnold pushes the yellow car back over in Commando so he can drive away in it. The side it was lying on is not smashed up at all as he drives off.

<< dan, you have way too much tine on your hands

Man! I watched movie last night. It was the first time I'd watched it on my 36" TV, so I noticed some more minute details.

Have you seen Resident Evil? The boom mike kept showing up in shots ALL the time. Once or twice I can understand, but it was like 5+ times. Yeesh.
