Hot Deals
Post the hottest prices and deals you've found on the net in the AnandTech Hot Deals forum. Please stick to deals you've found, not items you are seeking. This is NOT a shopping service. No dealers and no SPAM (IE: multi-level marketing, pay-to-surf, pay-for-referral schemes or links to auctions) allowed! Please DO NOT POST COUPON NUMBERS or PROMOTIONAL CODES.

Edit: Why can't I get those font tags out of this message? What an incredible pain...

Probably wrong, but somehow this doesn't seem right. Why a website for just selling the Matrix DVD? Unusual...

Shameless self-promoters...:disgust::disgust::disgust::disgust::disgust::disgust::disgust::disgust:

Edit: It's probably a scam of some sort.

Website looks/sounds like a very obvious scam. Website registered mar 28 so now the real question is why this "hot deal" comes as a first post from a guy who just registered this month. Owner or pawn in this scam.

(matrix-dvd-online.com <--- ha ha ha. be less obvious if youre going to scam people... ) 😱

Not to mention the fact that his username is plescanne and the site is registered to Pierre Lescanne...

Damn! Great deal! I just ordered 40 copies. eBay here I come!

Kind of weird thing: They ask for your birthday, driver's
license number, as well as your credit card number when you buy.
They also wanted the city I was born in and my mother's maiden
name.

Well, no biggie when the price is this good.

Kwad

Orders accepted for US only (from a UK store? WTF?)

Strange... very strange.

Things like social security numbers, mother's maiden name, birthdate, etc., are often used for security or confirmation... so if you gave them your CC # and expiration date, there's no limit to the damage they could do.

edit: this too is strange:
Shipment:
Your order will be shipped to you within 10 days of receipt. Our standard method of delivery is U.S. Postal Service. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery -- although we are confident you'll get your order even sooner. All shipments are subject to stock availability.

Please note that shipping and handling charges are included on the price you see. This means that you will not have to pay anything on top of the product price itself!

(that sure is cheap for shipping included, from the UK!)

This has to be a scam. I say we send a message by flooding this place with fake orders.

(just too bad they wont send any of them)

Wow such a well thought out scam, fooled everyone here! I actually bought 50 copies before I realized........

Mental note..... "next time I try to scam AnadTech'ers remember not derive my user name with my real name."
