The many faces of Keanu Reeves

He should look into playing poker.

Even during the sex scene with Carrie Anne Moss, he was still not particularly emotive. Damn, I'd be rather thrilled.

I think he had some good emotive ability in Constantine, but otherwise would agree, it seems like playing Klaatu was the role he was made for, the whole "im not a human, and don't understand all these human emotions. what does it mean... to smile?"

The only movies that I liked that he stared in were Devil's Advocate and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures.

you didn't like The Matrix?

Funny thing about all those pictures... the one with the most emotion in it is the damn animated one, lol

Not really no. The 2nd and 3rd ones were terrible. The first one was meh. There were some cool parts I guess.

And to be fair, the 'animated' one was actually filmed with all the actors, and they just modified it so that the final image appeared to be fully animated. So the actors were really presented as they were, except for in scenes where crazy things were happening.
Keanu was great in that movie! I loved A Scanner Darkly honestly. It was a crazy but fun movie to watch.

Yeah, I realize this, I have seen the movie as well... maybe the artist took some artistic license to make Keanu actually look like he had emotions?

It's possible, no doubt, but I do have to say that Keanu does have some ability to exhibit emotions.
Like I said, in Constantine, he seemed to have one of the most fully human performances I've seen from him.

I think his personal life has left him fairly emotionless. He's been through some rough stuff with his sister, his girlfriend and kid.

I am not 100% sure if I have seen that or not...

Yeah, effed up childhood. Father abandoned his family at age 3, mother went through four marriages, he switch high schools four times...

Then after 1999 his girlfriend has a stillborn child and gets killed in a car wreck two years later.

I can see why he might not smile much.

Sheesh...

That's a bit more than normal harsh.

I generally like him and the movies he does. He never really does a bad job playing his character because I feel most movies that he stars in are written specifically for him.

I also liked Constantine a lot, I know it's not a great movie but I enjoyed it.
