bought milk last week at safeway for $1.99 a gallon.

Let me guess, you live in a country destroying milk producing state that's owned and operating by evil republican 1% dairy corporations. Just wait until the 2% and whole milk people rise up and strike down these evil rich republican 1% dairy corporations.

A deal was reached in the Senate but Boehner may not bring it to a vote in the House as he and the GOP doesn't like the one year extension rules. Does that douche ever bring a vote to the floor for anything (including his own plans)? (Am I reading that wrong?)

Man, that article is a microcosm of exactly how screwed up is D.C.
One of the reasons Boehner has balked at bringing up a farm bill is disagreement within his caucus over how much money should be cut from food stamps, which make up roughly 80 percent of the half-trillion-dollar bill's cost over five years.
When we reach the point that 80% of a farm bill's cost is food stamps, do we really have a form of government worth saving?

Yet another rich Republican that hates small town 99%r farmers. Don't want to support spending $400B on food stamps? Maybe you should move to Somolia also with the rest of your rich 1%r Republican buddies and live the good life there. Take your hero boner with you.

Instead of Congress spending all this time just trying to mess with the other party, they really should have a committee that does nothing but goes back and either repeals or fixes old laws that either don't apply or don't make sense anymore.

I've said the same thing before. There's way too many laws that are simply obsolete. But because they're written down on paper people treat them like the word of god.

Any law that doesn't apply to today's world should simply receive a bullshit stamp and be immediately repealed.

It called the farm bill, but has never been solely about farming. Its never actually been called farm bill. Its called that lay people/media but its always been a comprehensive omnibus budgeting bill to fund all the USDA programs.
