yah. i had no idea that sony and nintendo were originally partnered for the SNES. an interesting look at how the console developed.

Nasty little fight. It's somewhat unusual for Japanese companies to get into full-out feuds like that, from what I understand.

Hmm... I get it.

That's why Sony is the evil corporation it is. They're just a sad little kid that got it's feelings hurt when ti was young.

... and then nearly took Nintendo completely out of the game.

Nintendo lost a good deal of market share by leaving the door open for Sony.

Nice read.

I knew some of the story, but nothing beats hearing the story from the perspective of the people involved.

Excuse me, I knew that, I meant SCEI, SCEA, SCEE, etc.

That article almost jedi mind-tricked me into thinking Sony was a company to cheer for. Thankfully, I'n currently playing my PS3 and was able to snap out of it.

I did like the ending to the article though.

The author should make it a two part series. This would be the glorious asscension to the top of the video game industry.

The next should be "Making the Playstation Network: The Bare Minimum".

Highlighted in the seriesn finale would be a detailed look at one of the biggest oversights in any playstation's history.

EDIT:

Tools some comments out in the interest of peaceful coexistance with Sojy fans.
