No "races" for me until the fall. I do have a 50K/50M fun run on June 29th though, I'll probably do more drinking and talking than running at that one.

Good luck at your race, Bateluer.

The high is supposed to be around 110-113F. :/ Usually, its not this hot in early June. At least the race start is at 7pm, with sunset about 40 minutes after. This gonna suck.

Good luck and stay safe! To borrow a phrase from endurance auto racing, to finish first, first you have to finish!

A 50K/50M "fun" run?!?! Oh, you wacky ultra-runners! :D

Yeah, I would actually take a pass on the race if it's going to be in the 90's or above. Not worth it IMO.

bring your body weight in water? and Damn, that's a long race.

I have the opposite problem. Rain all day Saturday during our time trials. Which involve a lot of standing and sitting around for a 500meter race.

They have a summer series, 5 races from May to September. All at night. Being in a Phoenix summer, its a given its going to be hot. The August race will be worse, because of the monsoon season. Will have at least ~30% humidity, with possible 70-80% humidity. Bit jump over our usual 0%. :p

I plan on taking 2x20z hand helds, one with water, one with Tailwind. Thats my standard ultra fuel plan these days. Aid is about 4 miles apart, so I don't expect to run out of fluids between them. :) Even at a walk, 4 miles and 40oz of fluid.
