This is one of the best miniseries that I have seen in quite some time. I (almost) enjoyed it as much as Firefly, and that's saying a lot IMHO. :p

The Lost Room is an American science fiction television miniseries that aired on the Sci Fi Channel. The series revolves around the titular room and roughly one-hundred everyday items from that room that possess unusual powers, such as a bus ticket that can instantaneously transport a person to a particular location or a comb that can temporarily freeze time around a person. The show's protagonist, Joe Miller, is searching for these Objects to use as tools in rescuing his daughter, Anna, who disappears inside the Room. Once a typical rental unit at a 1960s motel along Route 66, the Room now exists outside of normal time and space.

I was able to rent the 2 disc set the other day and I highly recommend it to sci fi fans.

There were a few thread about this show. Great stuff.. hopefully, we'll see another mini-series or even a show.

Surprisingly, it was pretty good. After so much garbage on sci fi like the triangle and dark kingdom, this was actually pretty entertaining. Not mindblowing but pretty fun to watch.

the thing is, they show so much garbage its hard to take and of it seriously. So I just end up ignoring all of them. I will be on the lookout for the next time this airs.

I just saw the miniseries and it was really good. The show left a lot unanswered though.

*spoilers*

Anyone else think that the lost room and the occupant were actually from a parallel universe? It would make a whole lot more sense than the room and the occupant's identity just disappearing from the universe like is alluded to in the show. His universe would have been very similar with his earth having the same motel but with a 10th room and him being married. In our universe a 10th room of the hotel was never built and he also never existed so the woman who he married had never met him. Basically there was some kind of tear in the universe which let objects from the parallel universe to come through. Supposedly the first object they found was the key. By using it it must have created a bridge between the two universes. The objects from the room took on strange properties in our universe because they did not belong here. My guess is that the first person from our universe to touch an object had an influence on what it did. Probably something that they thought of or needed at the time. Well that's my take on it anyway.
