I woke up this morning to find America, indeed the whole world, in conflict.
Can we ever overcome the enormous split between those who liked the Lost ending and those who hated it?

Vote Now!

(I figured with several hundred posts in the Lost finale thread a new, separate thread for this would be appropriate.)

Viewers of Lost, let me here your complaints! For ye shall rage, and I must hear them. As I need the entertainment of poor fools who get pissed over television!

😀

I saw one episode of lost. It was the one where the fat dude got a VW Bus rolling after being in a jungle environment for 40 years, then the 2 guys went on a joy ride down the side of a mountain where I presume there is very limited medical care provided by other survivors. Yeah... I wonder if the finale had any major logic flaws in it.

We need an option for 'Confused/enjoyed but already missing it'.

I was waiting for the announcer at the end to say "Next week, on Lost ..." 🙁

Ending would've been better if Vincent was sitting on a throne in the light outside of the church as Christian opened the door.

I thought it was great. I don't usually succumb to sappy endings, but I did get a little wet in the eyes a couple of times, especially when Vincent came and lay down next to Jack.

The Jimmy Kimmell show afterward was awful.

I think it would have been impossible for me to not have been a little let down, just after so much anticipation and the sadness of it being over. I did enjoy it last night, but left it feeling kind of bummed - it wasn't the happy ending I was hoping for with everybody living better lives in the sideways, though it was sort of a happy resolution for the characters moving on together after death.

I really like it a lot more this morning, but I'm still sad that it's over. Once I get past that, I think I'll enjoy it more.

I still can't think too much about Jack's last moments with Vincent there, that absolutely killed me. I kind of want to take a half day to go hang out with my lab now.

Logic flaws in a television show about a magical island where some people never die, ghosts walk freely, cancer patients get healed, the paralyzed can walk and the island itself can move through time.

But yeah, that bus episode must have really thrown you over the edge.

Yeah, the Jimmy kimmel stunt with the alternate endings was absolutely shameful and disgusting. If I had known the alternate endings were just gags, I wouldnt be so fucking exhausted at work this morning.

I did not know about your first paragraph worth of idiocy. If you just saw one episode and all you knew about the show was that it is set on an island with survivors from a plane crash than the bus part really does confuse the crap out of you... why would you risk injury in a VW bus joyride? Why is the bus not rusted to nothing?

Knowing now about the first paragraph makes me very happy to know that I never watched the show...

why would you complain about a show you've never watched and only ever saw 10 seconds of? 😕

I was trying to avoid stuff like that in order to get away from spoilers. But they made no fucking mention they were gags for the 5 hours during which they were advertising them. They were completely deadpan about it. An absolutely shameful epilogue to an otherwise wonderful night.

Fail. You could have watched Kimmel online today. I knew they were gags and still thought it was lame, though. Pretty much the only funny part was when Young Jacob was standing behind him. That tells you something.

I thought having Flocke turning human, then getting beat up and shot was lame. We needed a black smoke/white smoke smackdown.

I read an A+ comment in a blog...

If i throw a stone in this post my guess is that some people will ask why I threw it and hate me for it and some people will realize you can't throw an actual stone in a discussion post. Lost was a STORY people, it wasn't real. It was a fun ride for those of us who can see it like it was. Did y'all ask for an explanation why Harry Potter could fly on a broom or how Jack Bauer could save the day 8 times in a row all by himself or how people can fly spaceships and end up on a place with Ewoks?? Those stories ALL had a meaning to many many people and yet no one asked 50 zillion questions than got pissed off because they didn't get an answer to these things. If you're struggling with Lost you should stick with stuff like Dancing With The Stars or Jersey Shore or something.

was meh for me because I didn't really care for the purgatory side of the lost cast. I did care for the island side though.

Kate did look awesome, but it wasn't two hours of her in the black dress (preferably pole dancing) so it was definitely meh-disappointing-fail.
