Same here, been burnt hard when promised final release date was 2012 and it's still in alpha, going no where last I knew.

Depends on the game. I had a blissful two years of Kerbal before it went 1.0 and got it much cheaper than the final price too.

I enjoyed my survival run in Long Dark and will give it a go again with this update. I think I made it some 18 days or so last time?

I think I'd like it, review seem fairly positive...but as many early/alpha/beta games I've paid for I am sort of burnt out on it for the moment.

TLD has had a really good track record. It's been playable and fun since release.
