The littlest FPS game

A game with textures, models and lighting that you might mistake for one of the regular new release titles.

Except the whole game is 96 kBs. I have icons bigger than that!

The only telling drawback are the sparse sound effects and noncustomizable controls.

It's been around for quite some time.
In fact, I just deleted it yesterday. (HD cleaning up)

It's worth a look if you have nothing to do.
(I got bored with it)

That's pretty impressive for only 96k. The textures and models must be super compressed, because I've played UT2K4 maps that load quicker than that. 😀

Yeah, I gave this a go a while ago.

Definitely impressive, but it gets boring pretty fast. 😛

More than likely, the textures are generated, rather than stored and compressed. They are just the results of some complicated math formula than creates them when you first start. I didn't check the link provided, but I assume that's what this is.

Yeah, that's probably right. It's still amazing that something that's 96k in size still takes a minute or two to load on a 2.4Ghz system.

that game is harsh on my system - amd 2600 w/ 9800, can't run AA and AF and keep it playable.... sure does look nice though!

Ditto, Athlon64 3000+ w/ 9700 Pro ran horridly on my system. Didn't thing of messing with AA/AF though.
