The VMA's somehow hold relevance today? I saw some news stories about the host, seemed like a total jerkoff. I guess he got fired from being an MTV VJ because he came into work dressed as Osama Bin Laden, on 09/12/01. Funny guy....

In his defense, he laid that outfit out weeks before. It wasn't his fault that terrorists decided to attack...

And honestly, the VMA? There's like maybe three people who still think the VMA are relevant. Congratulations on being one of them. Shit, I think I hear your beeper going off!

MTV still shows enough music videos to justify a VMA?

I thought he was funny in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I don't watch music award shows of any kind though, so can't comment on the awards show.

most of that show needs to be fast forwarded anyways yes.
he was a bit of an ass, and i used to watch some of his british shows, but well, the more you see of him the more tiresome his act gets. plus he's a peta nut.

Yeah, the little bit I saw was incredibly unfunny...but atleast he acknowledged his lack of notoriety in the US and that there'd be hardly any context. Still seemed like a douche.

Right in the beginning he was pleading with people to vote for Obama, I just cringed thinking, "Ugh...anyone who watches this ass is gonna vote the other party just out of spite." I dunno, something about an unfunny brit, wearing girl pants, crudely addressing American politics...

A significant number of Brits think he's a douche too. I'm just glad he was off making an ass of himself over there instead of being over here.

I thought this thread would have something to do with Novell/DEC networking.
