The lies of George W. Bush

Quick question:

What politician doesn't lie?

The only one I can think of was Jesse Ventura, and people hated him for it.

I will definetly agree that the vast majority of politicians dance around the truth creatively, even outright lie. The number of politicians whose lies have cost our country lives, now that's the realm of a far smaller number. Blatant lies that result in the death of my countrymen, I feel, are different than a politician misrepresenting economic data to look good in front of an election.
Can't say I'm aware of any lies from John McCain, or Barak Obama.

Haven't read the book, although it's on the list. Gonna pick up Richard Clarke's new one first.

That's a good one. Let's compare:

In the left corner, we have a man with IQ of 150, educated in Oxford on a Rhodes scholarship... who lied about getting a blow job.

In the right corner, we have a man whose IQ is so low that no one wants to even talk about it, who only got into an Ivy League because his dad had money and influence, who spent the better part of his adult life wasted on cocaine... and whose lies have to do with the deaths of thousands of people, and the destruction of the Bill Of Rights.

Hmmm...

After reading the editorial reviews it looks like even the right wingers can't contest its accuracy. I especially like the way it calls attention to Bushes lies when he ran the first time in 2000.
I was thinking of buying it for a couple of hundred people for Christmas.
Anyon read this or have an opinion?

Like other posters have pointed out, you have a problem with politicians as a whole because they lie, not an individual.

What is the value of a politician .. any of them.. if they ALL LIE?

Lying politicians should be considered to be traitors.. lying to the citizens of your country is treason

Hmmm...

His GPA was higher than Kerrys.

I'm not sure about Oxford, but a lot of Ivy League schools are (and were) well known for GPA inflation.

Edit: Also, unless I'm mistaken, we aren't talking about Kerry...we're talking about Clinton.

You're very correct on both counts.
1. I was talking about Clinton
2. Ivy Leagues inflate their GPAs (hence Bush's GPA

and finally

3. Rhodes scholarship is not a joke. It's pretty much the highest academic honor a college student can receive in the U.S.

P.S. Due to 9/11 my citizenship application got delayed (my interview was scheduled for 9/12/01) and I couldn't apply for it on time.

zendari = pwned. Not that he would ever admit it...

Then again, to the right-wing conservative, things like the erosion of the Bill of Rights and a war based on lies are far less offensive than improper sexual activity.

who is eroding it? How?

Are you referring to the Iraq war? Bush didn't lie to anyone. Dick Morris said he had regular conversations with Clinton back in the 90's about Saddam and his WMD's. Is Clinton equally a liar in your eyes? The WMD debate regarding Iraq was just as intense under Clinton. The Dems had the same intelligence as Bush, and voted to go to war. Are all of the Dems that voted for the war liars as well?

I don't need to buy a book about the lies of W. Bush-------I experience them on a daily basis. Kinda runs in
the family as daddy told all those Iraqi's to rise up against Saddam-----he would protect them? So some did
and daddy looked the other way as Saddam slaugtered these people in the US interest of maintaining a stable Iraq
post gulf war one.

Then mommy, during huricaine Katrina famiously remarked those people are used to suffering--why worry?
What is there to understand? Comes with the mother's milk if your name is Bush------no wonder Air America Radio calls
them the Bush crime family.

With a heritary right to call together the biggest liars and con people in the history of this nation even if the fearless leader can
barely speak the English language.

They went to the same school at around the same time. Unless you are saying that Kerry's GPA wasn't inflated and Bush's was.

I guess Bush Sr.'s buddies at Yale must have known these 2 would square off in 2004 and wanted to ensure that Bush had the higher GPA of the 2.

Maybe "Mastering the Politics of Deception" is selling this book to raging lefties pissed off they lost the 2004 election 😀

I love how you've changed the topic to Kerry, even though you're the one who mentioned Clinton.

Actually even he lied about being a Navy Seal in Vietnam. He never was hehe.
People didnt like him because he took the picture of your typical baby politician to new lows.
