it was ok, the overall feel was that it still leans toward the quality end of the spectrum.
however, it leaves a bit of an aftertaste a few hours later upon reflection. Korra seems like the worst avatar in the series: obtuse, emotionally clumsy, not very perceptive, and overly reactionary. she makes some of the worst decisions ever on a frequent basis. Mako is just inherently annoying, not sure why.
the rest of cast is great, every scene just makes you want to see more of their interactions and less of korra and mako. the quasi villain uncle just seems way overshadowed, and im pretty sure they spent most of last season and tons of the last airbender seasons establishing that tenzen and the monks were the most qualified to teach her about the spiritual side of being the avatar. somehow the northern water tribe gained more knowledge about the spirits than avatar ang's own son?
im hoping it works out, but the writing for korra has never really matched ang's.
