I watched it last night too before breaking bad. It was a great premiere. Thought Avatar mode was going to be overpowered but they did a good job with it.

it was ok, the overall feel was that it still leans toward the quality end of the spectrum.

however, it leaves a bit of an aftertaste a few hours later upon reflection. Korra seems like the worst avatar in the series: obtuse, emotionally clumsy, not very perceptive, and overly reactionary. she makes some of the worst decisions ever on a frequent basis. Mako is just inherently annoying, not sure why.

the rest of cast is great, every scene just makes you want to see more of their interactions and less of korra and mako. the quasi villain uncle just seems way overshadowed, and im pretty sure they spent most of last season and tons of the last airbender seasons establishing that tenzen and the monks were the most qualified to teach her about the spiritual side of being the avatar. somehow the northern water tribe gained more knowledge about the spirits than avatar ang's own son?

im hoping it works out, but the writing for korra has never really matched ang's.

Love this show, that was a great season. It really needs to get off of Nickelodeon though.

I knew there was a season 3, but I hate waiting every week for another episode, so I wait until the season ends and binge watch it in one go :D

If you missed any of the past 3 seasons you can catch up at any time here.

Nick will NOT be airing Season 4 on TV and will only be released online at nick.com/korra or on the nick app starting Oct. 3rd.

I am excited for S4 as S1-3 were all very good in my opinion, S3 being the best however.

Korra in avatar state was pretty awesome in the season finale.

That was one bad ass fight.

I just watched season 1-3 over the last couple weeks. At times it was in the background while I was doing other things, so I may have missed some things here and there, so maybe someone can answer this question...why is Korra noticeably weaker than Aang while in the avatar state? Aang was like the overfiend, but Korra gets beat up in the avatar state.

If the women on this show were just drawn flat chested and in conservative clothing would there be any interest in this?

in general korra is really bad at the spiritual side of being avatar, she's still too focused on the material world and the martial side of bending. she hasnt let go like aang did.

as far as each seasons main fights in avatar state.

s2 she broke the line connecting all the past avatars, so less access to their experience and skills.

s3 she was suffering mercury poison while fighting in avatar state.

considering the first series ATLA had 3 seasons of a male main character and no one particularly well endowed was a regular character, i'm gonna go with yes.

Nobody would ever watch a show with a female character with that much clothing on!

Don't know how I ever missed it earlier!

I wish the people behind this show could have done Clone Wars instead of the whole childish themed bug eyed cgi crap it became.

The cgi is strange at times. But I don't think it's a negative to the show. The show's pace is just way too fast, what originally took 61 episodes to tell a story, now is condensed down to 13 episode seasons. The show moves from one thing to the next at lightening speed.
