We see it all the time in these forums, no surprise. Just count how many personal attacks we'll see in this topic from the usual leftie suspects.
You don't like Obama? You think his administration is one of the most inept, crooked and full of cover-ups you've ever seen? You think his economic policy sucks balls? You must be a racist.
The whole point of the attacks from the left is to silence dissent.

The media’s crusade to protect President Obama from his record continues. One of their go-to arrows in their bias quiver is to level a charge of racism. Ann Coulter’s great new book, “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama,” covers the history of this liberal obsession. As the election approaches, new chapters of that book are written by a media that will do anything to avoid honestly reporting on things like the Obama administration’s pressuring of defense contractors to not notify employees of pending layoffs until after the election.
Were the President Republican, that story would be described as the corruption it is, just as the story of the administration knowing of threats against the consulate in Benghazi days ahead of time and apparently doing nothing to protect Ambassador Christopher Stevens’ life. If the President were a Republican the media would report more vociferously on the administration’s blatant lying to the American people for nearly 2 weeks about that attack being a spontaneous reaction to a video, not a terrorist attack.
Not only is the President not Republican, he happens to also be black – the first black man elected President.
That fact only matters to people it matters to. Most of us couldn’t care less. But racists and liberals care deeply.
Racists, real racists, are so insignificant now as to not matter. The days of them mattering died sometime after Democrats lost the South. Bull Connor, George Wallace and others died off, and the world is a better place for it.
What was supposed to follow the death of that idiotic mentality was the world Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned, in which people are judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
What we have now is a new breed of racists: Liberals who use the charge to ensure people are treated differently because of the color of their skin.
Sick old racists believed non-white people were inferior and deserved to be treated differently. The new racists still believe non-white people should be treated differently, just in a different, subtler way.
The way this new racism manifests itself is by making things people used to say about other Presidents racist when said about President Obama. What was once accepted criticism are now “racist code words.”
One of the earliest examples of this was the word “regime.” When Rush Limbaugh used it in reference to the Obama administration, liberals were beside themselves. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said, “I've never seen language like this in the American press…The use of the word 'regime' in American political parlance is unacceptable, and someone should tell [Limbaugh] to stop using it.”
The only problem for Matthews, as Byron York pointed out, is “A quick search of the Nexis database revealed more than 6,500 uses of the word "regime" to refer to the Bush administration since January 20, 2001, in the New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, and, yes, by Chris Matthews himself.”
What else has been called racist code? “Angry,” “Chicago,” “Constitution,” “Experienced,” Food Stamp President,” “Golf,” “Kitchen Cabinet,” and many others.
