The Last Tsunami video you should watch

I couldn't watch it because of the retarded cameraman. There's a whole parking lot of cars being pushed into a wall, and he's filming nothing.

insane how fast the water level rises

i'm sure you'd do better if your entire town was being submerged.

In every video of the Japanese tsunami I've seen it starts out deceptively small - just a trickle coming in, as if sewer lines got blocked, and now the water is pouring over. No huge wave, nothing. And then in a matter of seconds it's a roaring flood taking everything out on its way.

That was insane. That guy must have been shitting a fucking brick. That water rose so fast in only 2 minutes - I'd be kissing my ass goodbye.

Yeah, it starts off "that's not too bad, insurance will cover the new carpets." than 5 minutes later its like "holy fuck where did that town just go?"

Interesting darwinian comment on the youtube page. Someone was saying the cameraman should have run. Seems like he was luckily in the only place where he would have survived, and running anywhere would have meant certain death.

(To be fair: Udgnim posted in the wrong thread anyway because Techs won't keep a sensible topic title)

It makes you wonder - how many videos were shot that we'll never get to see because the person wasn't as lucky as the guy who shot this video. 🙁

Yeah, as the water kept rising I was half expecting him to be overtaken or else the building to crumble away. Then I thought, well then the video wouldn't have survived would it?

LOL. You've incurred the wrath of the repost Nazis.

As if two separate "Japan Earthquake/Tsunami/Nukulear Disaster" threads weren't enough?

There are so many different tsunami videos floating around teh intarwebs that if everyone posted a different one, the front pages would be nothing but "ZOMG! Lookit this Tsunami Video" threads.

Yeah, that'd be horrible, ATOT overrun with people caring and expressing shock over something that actually matters. Lord knows i was just so fed up with 9/11 and Katrina threads. 🙄

There are a million re-uploads of the same videos with variable quality (I wish people didn't do that so it'd be easier to find the highest-quality sources).

Just bump the existing thread with the video link. Then everyone who's following that thread gets to see it.

It's the only way that makes sense.
