today and almost every day

This.

I have an e-Reader, but I just bought Console Wars in paperback because I still prefer to read physical books. Was also cheaper by a buck...

I was a voracious reader when I was in K-12 and in the Navy as well. Since I bought my first ebook reader I have bought and read more books in the past 4 year than the previous 20 all because I no longer have to deal with traffic/people/bookstores/libraries to get a book. With my Kindle paperwhite I can read it before going to sleep without bothering my wife by keeping a light on and the form factor is not really much different from a standard paperback novel. I really don't get the hate for ebooks.

Still need to go to an auto parts store and use their light bulb cross reference book to find what turn signal bulb a car needs. (Or if there was some magical electronic cross reference web page, Google doesn't know about it)

3 days ago. My wife wants me to finally read through my pending library of physical books so that we can donate them.

it's annoying that people can't interact with eachother anymore.

When you read a book you are interacting with another person, the author. But it's better interaction because the author (hopefully) has thought about what they want to say and has edited the words so that one doesn't have to suffer through the inanities of verbal conversation. With live people you have to go through all the preliminary BS of "Hey, how's it going...good...you...good...I never did finish telling you that story...", no, with a book you just pick it up and continue reading. When you grow weary of reading you can just close the book and set it down instead of having to find a way to politely extract yourself from a conversation with someone who is sure to feel rejection and go all emo on you. Books are simply better than live people.

Everyday here.

I read both e-books and paper though. However, the e-books are basically relegated zombie/eoftwawki/some sci-fi stuff.

At some point I'll be buying the best of the bunch on paperback.

edit: oooh the scent...of cheap paperbacks. The quality...of modern disintegrating bindings...hell, e-books I can skip my reading glasses and just punch up the text size. :p

Lots of people reading on the train in the morning. Either reading books or playing candy crush on their phones or surfing facebook.

yesterday, my fiancee was reading.
I also was reading.

This morning, She was doing a think with strings called "knitting". It has nothing to do with kites.

I was reading one last night.

I usually prefer ebooks for the convenience, backlight, and readability (re: being able to increase the font size when I don't feel like wearing glasses), but in this instance, the digital version was like $12 compared to $0.99 + shipping for a used copy.

Yesterday!

Sure, but when was the last time you saw someone reading a good scroll? Even when people aren't glued to their phones or computer they use multiple pages all bound together. It seems people have forgotten the simplicity of a single long sheet of rolled parchment or vellum.
