Wow!... I haven't seen that in sooo long... absolutely incredible... computer graphics way ahead of it's time... and that good wholesome 80s romance that we just don't seem to get right anymore...

Damn good damn frickin good...

Why is hollywood completely incapable of making good goofy scifi anymore?

That movie has struck a chord in my life, a rather disenent chord, yet still easy on the ears. Thank you and forever live like a good one.

Yeah that was an awesome movie. I always will stop on it if I'm flipping through TBS and it's on.

I love the scene where the mother ship crashes into the moon....something like:

"Auxiliary steering...out! What do we do?"

"We die."

😀

Yeah the alien dude flips his orange goggly thingy on... gives a stern alien look... and says "We Die"... such a great line...

That and the whole little brother/beta unit scene... "Lewis you are having a terrible nightmare, go back to sleep!"

At my gr. 3 birthday party we watched this, and when one of the black bug eyed alien "assassins" popped out from the roof, a friend screamed, and ran to hide behind the TV. It was gold. 😀

As a kid the most disturbing scene for me was the one where they melt that spies head with the energy beam. Either that or the one where the guard on the Kodan (sp) ship pops out of his helmet.

Robert Preston. What a guy.

My brother staked the claim that Silent Scope was a modern day/real life Last Starfighter. 🙂

Wow what a flashback. Yep, you know your special when everyone in the trailerpark young and old gathers to watch you go for that high score.Thats back in the day when arcades ruled!

I had nightmares after watching that movie. I was outside my house and one of those assassin things was out on the road. I spotted it, it spotted me and it came at me fast. I fumbled with the door lock and had to take my eyes off the rapidly closing thing to look at the keys...

"Death Blossom" ruled!!

Everyime I would watch that movie as a kid I would run to the Atari and start playing Asteroids. Turning the stick to the right and firing repeatedly. My death blossom didn't work as good as the movie's 🙁

"Greetings Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada."
