The last stand of my tbred-b...after years of faithful service at 2.1ghz, i'm jamming up the voltage & going for broke..

It just has to last me until early Janurary, so i figured i could kick it up a notch ;)

I've never moved the jumper, but iirc it mean i can use up to 2.3vcore. The board overvolts ever so slightly as well, MBM & everest & sandra show 1.81 and it's set at 1.75 iirc...

2.3v will almost certainly fry it. But if you are going for broke gently increasing the frequency until it is no longer stable and then increase the voltage. If it becomes stable then carry on, if not then crank it down a notch and hey presto you've gone as far as you can.

It's good to see theres still life left in the old tbred.

January is 6 months away, it's summer, and you're on air. This is not the time to "kick it up a notch." You're not going to notice a couple hundred more MHz (if you're lucky).

1.9 to 2.0 would be max on air, even for winter . depending on the processor it may do very well with alot less voltage . i had two that did 2400mhz at 1.7 volts , very nice processors that i used on a dual motherboard
