I've recently started playing it and I don't have many hours a day to spend with games but this game is pushing my limits with staying up late haha, I love the story and I'm only aeound 7 hours in so I'm trying really hard to avoid spoilers, all I know is that the ending is awesome so I can't wait

It's odd for sure because we know ps4 isn't backwards compatible except for the gaikai service which won't even be available at launch. So I guess we will wait and see what they meant by this bundle.

I think these are all Sony published games (minus Orange box), so it would be easier for them to port their stuff over because they share the same tech among their internal developers. Valve could simple have a PS4 version ready, since porting from PC should be straightforward.

Or it could be Gaikai, but even for Gaikai to work it would have to be emulated. I can't imagine them having server farms of PS3s that would handle running the games. Games on Gaikai surely must require additional code in order for them to work in that service.

Anyways, we'll know soon enough.

Finished the game last night. Excellent. My wife, who overall never plays games, was sitting next to me reading her book. When a scene came up, where in Winter part Ellie is by herself fighting the thugs, she started watching me play and giving pieces of advice 🙂 When I finished, she didn't want to know how it ended since she had missed 99% of it. Now she wants me to replay it with her being present. Talking about cinematic/emotional effect the game produces on viewers.

A few odd glitches popped up (anyone else?):
- Clipping in a house: once hiding behind a sofa in a house (Spring), I felt into a basement through the floor. I couldn't get out, had to restart the saved game. The worst clipping was in the final episode in the hospital where you are running carrying Ellie. If I got caught by soldiers, the smack in the face with a rifle buttstock happened in a clipped object-less environment.
- Hiding in a bathroom with no space left for Ellie to hide behind Joel. She kept on running in and out of the bathroom right in front of the thug looking for us. Obviously, he didn't notice a 100 lbs target 🙂

I rented it tonight, got bored quick. I don't like games I watch more than actually play.

How far did you play? You need to be a good 3 hours or so in to enjoy it. I played 2 hours since I've been busy but I started liking it as time went by.

Sure signs of a good book, bad game. I hated Uncharted too. I play games to PLAY GAMES, not watch movies or read stories.

If you hated Uncharted you should have never rented this game. I know a lot of people think the two games are totally different but in reality it's the same AAA Summer Blockbuster cinematic formula.

Just finished the game last night. To echo some of the sentiments already espoused by others, I thought this was an absolutely outstanding game; one of the best I've ever played.

Have you ever played metal gear solid 4? That is a game with less gameplay than video. Last of us has way more gameplay and exploration than video.

Lol Xenosaga comes to mind... 9 hours of in game cut scenes. But still tons of gameplay and exploration.

Soooo long.

Tonight is my first night to have the game from red box. Super pumped to try it out. I've been dying to play a good game recently.
