The last good anime I watched was Death Note. Anything decent since then?

I was completely addicted to Death Note, I watched the entire series in about 2 days. That was at least a year ago, I have'nt watched any anime since. Any recommendations for something equally compelling?

One Piece
New Berserk is coming out
Hajime no Ippo New Challenger if you haven't seen it
Code Geass S1 and S2 are EPIC

there's lots of awesome animes, you just have to go back for them. release date shouldn't be a constraint.

I was really impressed by that series. After watching this, I started Naruto.. the filler episodes killed the tempo. What a drag.

So skip them! There are definitely a couple of unbelievable episodes in Naruto (133 comes to mind) that are far worth the watch.

I came across these never ending filler episodes after Sasuke leaves for Orochimaru.. Can you list the episode where things get exciting again?

Code Geass was AMAZING. Kinda similar to DN in that it's very intellectual and dark. But Code Geass was better than DN (although, if DN would've ended when L died and Light won, DN might've won)

I don't really have anything interesting that I'm watching, but I do recall a new ToLove Ru coming out soon. The original was goofy and of course... quite fanservice-y, but oh well 😛. I mostly just read manga... the big shounen three and Fairy Tail.

Isn't that around episode 130 or so? I don't really watch the anime unless I'm trying to watch specific episodes to see cool scenes from the manga, but if I remember correctly, the new episodes don't start until Shippuden. So it's around 100+ episodes of filler 😱.

fma brotherhood (2nd rec)
bakemonogatari (1st rec)
katanagatari
spice and wolf (3rd rec)
amagami ss (it's like watching an entire anime about socially awkward penguin)
seitokai yakuindomo (entire anime of perverted jokes. hilarious.)
fate/stay night (more play the game. the anime wasn't as good as the game.)
eden of the east (4th rec)
element hunters
to aru majutsu no index/kaguku no railgun
code geass was awesome too.

Personally I'm a big fan of Bleach and I've enjoyed most of the series although like any anime it seems that there's some filler so I just skip those episodes.

Other anime I would suggest:

Kekkaishi
Code Geass
Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig
FLCL

this is a good list, and id start with bold 🙂

Darker than black. Season 1 is amazing and season 2 is kind of confusing because they don't explain anything (they said they'll explain stuff in OVAs that are currently being released every couple months)

If you like psychological anime with lots of inner monologue, go with Akagi, Kaiji and One Outs (all by the same author and same style)
