i love wally. the minny fans were booing him, while all the lakers fans were cheering for him :D

as for the officating, i thought that this game was actually called very cleanly. of course there were a few missed calls, but i can't remember any really horrible calls.

reasons lakers won:
1. lakers were shooting lights out
2. lakers were beating the full court
3. lakers sent second man to double hudson most of the game
4. drive and kick by the lakers just killed the zone defense
5. wally did a great job as the 6th man
6. twolves just weren't giving KG the ball at critical moments of the game.

You must not watch any games. Every just jumps on the bandwagon and thinks the kings whine a lot because when they played the Lakers, the Lakers were given considerably better calls. Sure, maybe they whined a lot when they played them, but who wouldn't whine if the refs consistently made bad calls?

And yes, Vlade flops (although it's been a while since I've seen him do so), but don't forget that the Lakers have two of the biggest floppers in the league: Fisher and Horry. Point made.

And I believe that Webber made 6 game winning shots during the season this year. Not bad...he's been stepping it up. but sure, only the playoffs will tell how clutch a player is, but fortunately the King's have dealt with the Jazz pretty well so far that Webber hasn't needed to take any game winnders.

your post is so biased.

contrary to what you believe, the lakers don't always get the calls in their favor. perhaps in game 6 last year, and in game 3 against the twolves, but definitely not all the time.

i can't say the kings whine anymore than the lakers or vice versa, as both teams do their fair share of complaining.

where did horry and fisher learn how to flop? i'm betting it's from the master, vlade. while i really think that vlade flops more than horry and fisher combined, that may just be from my point of view as a lakers fan. i know horry had that flop in OT in game 3, but haven't seen him flop much at all lately.

please, webber made 6 game winners? when? during the regular season? c'mon, we all know that the regular season and the playoffs are completely different games. yes, we will definitely see what webber is made of this year; the year the kings are actually favored to win it all.

I've watched all but a couple weeks of the Kings regular season and every one of their playoff games this year, and to say that they don't whine a lot is beyond naive. Take a look at their loss to the Jazz this series, where Webber, Bibby, Jackson....you name it, they whined about it.

I won't even address the tired argument that "The refs won the Western Conference Finals for the Lakers. Go Kings!".

LOL, don't confuse blatant floppers like Divac with players like Fisher and Horry who take good clean charges. Let me guess, you're going to cite the flop Horry had against KG in Game 3 to support your "biggest flopper in the league" claim? Really, how many Laker/Kings games have you watched this year?

Huh? Which games were those? As far as I can remember he's made one actual game winner this year, against New York or some other Eastern Conference team if I remember correctly. Critical shoots (which Webber has done this season) does not = "game winners." Besides, the regular season doesn't define how clutch a player is nearly as much as the playoffs do. Webber has yet to prove he's clutch in the playoffs or that he even wants the ball in crunch time. That's what Bibby is for. ;)

You guys don't really listen to my posts much.

Yes, the kings do whine, but everyone just thinks they are the only ones because some other guy said that. So they complain about bad calls...this whole series Ostertag has cried like a baby yet noone has said ANYTHING about him. Everyone whines and complains, so quit with this stupid stereotype.

Did I say that Vlade didn't flop? yes, he flops...but so do horry and fisher. The announcer even mentioned in the game today that the refs are hesistant to give Fisher a call because he flops so much. But then again, I probably watch more Laker's games than most Laker fans do.

And from what I heard, Webber hit 6 game winners in the regular season. Maybe they miscontrued it, but it said game-winners. and I even said in my best that yes, the playoffs do matter. So I guess thanks for making my statement redundant.

Ok, according to you, everyone thinks the Kings whine because someone else said so. But you know Fisher flops because the announcer says so...? Hmm...

You are right in that everyone whines. Every team always thinks they get the short end of the stick. Every fan feels like their team gets shafted on any questionable call, so its something you have to put up with in basketball. 3 refs are watching 10 guys... Mistakes are bound to happen. Hell, the greatest players and coaches complain at key moments and use it to their advantage.

And I think I do recall CWebb hitting a couple game winners during the regular season... But come crunch time, theres something oddly enjoyable about seeing Webb standing about 18 ft out, back tot he basket with the ball and desperately trying to pass it to someone.. and if it comes down to it this year, if I were the opposing team , I'd let him take the shot.

Webber wants that shot this year. He finally realized that to go far he has to take the team on his back. Webber has become more dedicated to the low post and mixing up his game and demanding the ball at the end of games.
And yes, Webber has hit 6 game winning shots this year, I can only remember a couple off hand (Orland, Denver, Boston, New York, Utah, etc) but he has done it. The all weren't jumpers either. The Denver game he went to the basket and got it and against Utah he went strong the the hoop and got fouled and hit 2 fts to win. Regular season is nothing like the playoffs, but Webber is still dedicated the low post and taking over games at the end. He got tangled up with Ostertag going for a hook shot and strained his back and left game 2. In the past Webber would have just shot jump shots the rest of the series but in game 3 Webber came and continued to mix up his game. In fact, Webber is becoming pretty good in the low post. You guys can rip on Webber for not wanting the shot and until he proves otherwise you are right, but it gets old. Just watch some Kings games now and you'll see that Webber has changed his game and he whines much less. He is the leader of the Kings. Only winning it all will silence the critics.

of course, no one wants to see the lakers gone in the first round,
that would suck for ratings..

these teams who get cheated need to protest and make a new league or something...

N/M that'll probably never work...
XFL....ha!

I would absolutely LOVE to see the Lakers elimated in Round 1.[/b}

I would absolutely LOVE to see the Lakers elimated in Round 1.

but if they did get out of the first round, you'd probably keep watching to hope they lose. love 'em or hate 'em, the lakers are the most intriguing team to the nba fan in this year's playoffs, and thus their games result in the highest ratings.
