How much did they pay you to shill?
They're great until the true cost of owning one gets factored in. The coffee is $20+ per pound for your average swill. Which is about what premium beans start to top out at. Is it really that hard to put some grounds in a basket and fill it with water?
It's not for people that drink coffee by the pot. And it's even better for mixed households that have traditional coffee tastes and flavored coffee tastes.
My wife can toss in a hazelnut flavored coffee and brew it and 30 seconds later I can toss in a bold basic black brew. It's still about 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of stopping by a coffee shop on the way to work so it's not excessively expensive given the variety of brews you can crank out easily.
I don't think ATOT is ready for women with K cups.
We buy them in boxes of 50 from Amazon.
Comes out to ~$30.
They sell reusable kcup attachments so you can use your own grinds. I've had mine for almost 3 years now and although it got a bit louder, it still works well. When it breaks, I'm buying another one immediately.
Every single problem posted is due to not descaling the machine with vinegar. If you have a keurig you HAVE to descale it every few months or it will only last a year or so.
