we tried this allready once and it got locked by the nazi mods because someone posted a pic of a female

I've been trying to figure out how to link to a specific post in this forum. Obviously it's easy to link to a thread, but how do you make a link so it goes to a specific post in that thread?

If so we could put the pic in the babe thread, then link directly to that post.

its easy....

On the post you want to link to, hover over the quote link, see the URL in your status bar? The number after messid= is the post ID.

Now, link to the thread, but add the pound sign followed by this number, for example, this links to your post:

http://forums.anandtech.com/me...enterthread=y#30291174

bravo! I never knew how to do that :)

So is this true of just about any forum, internet linkage and such, or just Fuse Talk coding?

adding the pound sign at the end of the url (and something after it) is a very old html feature, that lets you jump to any part of a page.

Note that the "Top" link is just the URL to this page with #top at the end of it.

However the page needs to have these "anchors" defined in the HTML, so if the site doesnt provide these anchors, your SOL.

for the "#1234" link to work there needs to be a tag that looks like this: <a name="1234">

with the exception of the #top link, which will work even without an anchor defined in the HTML

who dat?

She looks like the girl that played ZG in that SciFi miniseries, Tinman (and her name was Zooey Deschanel); though, I could be wrong.

It is her.

Indeed it is.

I always try to use nature backgrounds on my electronics. Its nice to be reminded me of the real world when using gadgets that tend to keep you inside.

Got a fairly racist file on there i see.

Reminds of a scene from Blazzing Saddles when Mel brooks character pulls the black guy aside and says "Do you realize that guy is a ni?". Then realizes his mistake and pulls the attorney general aside and says "Do you realize that guy is a ni?"
