what can i do to upgrade my current comp? i don't think i want to switch over to amd, i love my mobo as it is.

i've thought about those things... already got some semi-decent speakers, digital camera, etc. i was thinking i wanted to maybe go for like an ATI All-in-wonder or something? although i'm hesitant because of incompatibilities with win2k and the sblive!

Your running a Intel P3 700MHz @ 799MHz. Makes me wonder if you can O/C that alittle higher perhaps.

Get another 256 MB ram while it's so cheap. You may not need it now but if you upgrade to Windows XP it will probably be useful.

Get some RAM, maybe a scanner, portable MP3 player. Or, if you want to really spend money, a miniDV or Digital 8 camcorder. Maybe a nice stereo receiver (not really a computer part, but fun to buy).

i have a stock HSF. i have the really old stepping (the one before cBO). i'm not sure how much higher i can get. ram's a good idea too. any advice about the ati radeon cards?

I have a PIII700E of the older cA2 stepping. Don't expect to go much beyond 800MHz. I get 805MHz stable in WIN98 and occasional freeze ups in WIN2K. Maybe you will get lucky. I would upgrade the processor if PIIIs drop in price in mid-to-late May. I'm hoping for a cheap PIII 1GHz.

Good luck.
