The IT Crowd - any other shows similar?

Friend has the DVDs and let me borrow them, I don't own a TV so I don't really follow shows and actors. Especially with it being from the UK I have no idea who anyone is. Maurice is pretty fucking funny though. Pretty dumb overall but it has a weird charm about it. Even if it's greatly exaggerated, my time in IT I went threw a few things I've seen in the first season lol.

I tried watching it but couldn't get over the laugh track and the jokes weren't especially funny. The combination of the two, where you could perceive the actors pausing for the laugh track made it unwatchable.

The cheese was part of the humor to me.

I just started watching some of the British comedies through Netflix. I really like "The IT Crowd" and so far, The Dinner Party episode has been my favorite but I still need to watch series 3.

"Extras" is not bad either. I'm going check out "Coupling", "The Office", and "Peep Show" soon.
